COSUD construction company, linked to Buenos Aires collapse, had several major projects in the city

(COSUD), the company involved in a residential building collapse in Buenos Aires, constructed several notable projects in the city, including the Madero Harbour tower, a hospital, and Olympic pavilions. The Noticias Argentinas agency revealed the company's extensive construction activities.

Constructora Sudamericana S.A. (COSUD), the company involved in the collapse of the “Estación Buenos Aires” residential complex in the Parque Patricios neighborhood, carried out various construction works in the City of Buenos Aires. As confirmed by the Noticias Argentinas agency, the company, founded in 1970, built Tower 8 of the Madero Harbour, a building part of the project known as Harbour Tower, located at Julieta Lanteri 1775, Puerto Madero, with an area of 40,000 square meters. Another of its structures is in Monserrat, on the border of this exclusive and luxurious federal capital neighborhood. It is the Quartier del Bajo, located at Venezuela 98, corner Azopardo, with 63,000 square meters. In Villa 31, in the Retiro area, the firm built housing after reaching an agreement with the Buenos Aires Secretariat of Social and Urban Integration, while also constructing the “Water Treatment Plant” by signing a contract with the multinational energy and gas producer ENEL. In turn, it led the construction of the Italian Hospital in Almagro, near Parque Centenario and meters away from Díaz Vélez and Corrientes avenues, while also developing a parking lot in Monserrat, where the client was the Buenos Aires City Government, covering an area of 20,000 square meters. The Olympic Pavilions were another of the projects in Villa Soldati, where the athletes who competed in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games stayed.
